The Rankin County Federation of Democratic Women (RCFDW) is the latest achievement of the Rankin County Democratic Party and has been enthusiastically accepted by the Democratic women of Rankin County.  At the present, we have close to forty members. The RCFDW is aligned with the Mississippi Federation of Democratic Women (MFDW)which is aligned with National Federation of Democratic Women (NFDW).

The objectives of the RCFDW is to unite the Democratic women of Rankin County, to encourage full participation of women in every level of the Democratic Party structure and to promote the cause of the Democratic Party.

The RCFDW is in the process of establishing their own particular goals for the upcoming year.  A program committee has been established to help make the monthly meetings interesting, informative and, at the same time, fun.  They plan to have speakers at some of the meetings and fundraising events throughout the year.   They will support the Rankin Democratic Executive Committe and the MFDW with their endeavors, as well.

Rankin Countians who are interested in the objectives of this organization, who openly declares his/her allegience to the Democratic Party, and is a registered voter shall be eligible for full memberhip in the RCFDW.  The yearly dues are $10.00 per person.  To join the RCFDW please call Grace Logan at 601-825-6426.

Remember: It is up to us to promote the Democratic Philosophy in our community.  Please try to attend the following events so that we can grow and learn together.

March 18th-Democratic Women's Legislators Luncheon will be held at the University Club in Jackson located in the AmSouth Building downtown Jackson. There is an entrance on Lamar Street and Capitol Street.  The cost is $15.00 and  it starts at 11:00am to 1:30pm.  We encourage our members to attend and meet our women legislators and Federation members from all over the state.  This will be a fun day for all of our members.  Please call 601-992-3536 for more information.

RCFDW Meeting - to be announced

April 9th-10th-MS Federation of Democratic Women State Convention will be held at the State Capitol.  This will involve the Campaign Training Academy for women who are interested in running for office, managing campaigns, managing fundraisers/finances and volunteers.  This is an election year and it is important that our members participate in these informative training sessions.  If you are interested in serving on the Convention Planning Committee please call Thelma Kumar-601-992-3536. We hope to see you all there.
